Finally got round to putting all my aircraft models into a pack, This includes the Stuka, P47, P51, ME110, FW190, Zero, Typhoon and Mosquito.

Poly counts range from 1700 to 3000, they are available in both 3DS and X formats.

The props are all rigged for in game animation.

For 8 quality models, the price seems perfectly reasonable to me...

Nice models man

Or Modern planes.

Really cool pack of planes!

There is one plane I feel is missing from this collection, though, and that is the Supermarine Spitfire! (Okay, might just be wishful thinking from my side, though. :p)

Anyway, great work man. As I've stated earlier, if I was making a game featuring WWII planes, I'd probably buy this.

I would have made the spitfire and the hurricane but there are plenty of free versions of these two aircraft available. I may make these nodels at a later date but it wont be in the near future, sorry. I have decided on the next group of models and will keep you all posted as when they are ready.

You're lucky the pack is only $30. These could sell for $100+ each on turbosquid, so be thankful the price is so low.

----

I've been wanting to get my hands on some WWII planes, so when I can, ill buy this pack, that is, if the licence you have for them allows me to sell a game I make using them?

As far as I am concerned you can do what you like with the models for your comercial/Freeware projects, I would apprieciate it if the models where not easlily ripped from your projects.

Please don't advertise someone else's work (free or not) on a thread that is trying to generate financial interest. It's poor taste; especially for someone trying to offer the community a valuable asset for less than it's worth.

Whatever "da power pwnerer" posted, even if it was a link to high quality planes, I would rather buy Frap's, knowing that he created them himself.

Looking awesome! But one crit on the tank though I whink that you should make the parts that stand out on the top have a slightly texturechange so you can see them better.

I model I clean and I cook for you... AND I STILL DONT GET A COOKIE!!?!!?!?!!?!??

Alucard: I did notice this when I was making the model, However I decided to run with it as I didnt see it as a major issue, the only way to really solve the problem was to extrude both the hatches a little which added to the polycount and just didnt look right. Glad you like it.

Unfortunatly I have some product visualisations to so over the next week or two so I wont be able to spend time on the game models this week, and a very nagging girlfriend who would like to be reminded of what I look like, so it may be a few weeks before I get round to any more modelling.

I have been threatend again over my pricing structure, they want to align my prices with other models on the site (basically they want me to charge more), I am holding off but they may over ride the prices at anytime. I am trying to get my own site built but am having to wait for a friend to build the site for me which may be a few weeks yet. Get them while you can.

At the end of the year my models will no longer be available from Turbo Squid. This is due to a number of reasons.
I am comming under more and more pressure from other vendors to make my models more expensive.
The royalty rate paid to vendors is unreasonably low currently 50% where most other sites it is between 65% to 75%.
The nail in the coffin was the US IRS wants to charge 30% Tax on non residents selling goods through the US unless I visit the US embassy and pay a fee to and submit my passport for them to provide me with US tax exemption which is the current treaty between the US and UK. This in its self makes it a waste of time. My train fee to London and loss of a days work amounts to more than I earn from the models I have for sale there, Let alone the charges empossed by the US embassy.

Onto the good news

They will still be available from Flatpyramid though.

Yeah, Thanks Kieth I have been on there a while but they have a really crazy pricing policy, My models got realigned out of most peoples price range. I put my McLaren MP4 model up at $10 but as soon as I had sold a few models there they increased the prices, It now sits at $65 which is far too high for the guys here. I still put my models up there but its more of a show case now. Again they are US based but havnt persued the tax issue as yet.
I am trying to sort my own site out and maybe offer space for a few guys here to put thier syuff up but its gonna be a few months yet.

They did the same thing to my little WWII Pack, I had it up there for the same price I sell it; they bumped it up to $25. That's just crazy for what I'm giving. I'll be getting my own store started in awhile, but I'll continue putting stuff up there as well as TS.

I guess I'm fortunate that I don't have to pay the extra fees and taxes that you guys do. Vendors like TS already take out enough (more than enough in TS's case) as it is. You're paying for the coverage they give, really.

We're supposed to make money?? That's what I've been doing wrong...lol.

Maybe if all the artists stop making free art, we can begin making a few dimes and nickels.

Have you got any screens of them used in DB?

Disctu: Have a sight on its way fully database driven, ability to take credit cards/Paypal etc. May invite some others to sell there content there too, But this is still a little way off.

I have had a little play with the stuka and made a tankbuster version, I want to redo the texture before its released and am half way through a hurricane model as well.

Discotu: I never really learned how to texture as such, Its some thing that has and I hope will continue to develop, I dont use anything special to make my textures just Paint shop pro and even then I dont use the latest version. Its all just practice, sometimes as with modelling the best thing to do is take a break from the screen and go for a walk and clear your head for half an hour then return to it.
I have been thinking of posting the process that I go through to produce a model but im not sure it will be that interesting.

thankyou for that i have to admit sometimes its just a case of as you said just a break that is needed then you come back and you are like ah thats how you do it. If no one else finds it interesting i certainly would like to see the process you go through

thanks again
