Hello!
I've been using Blender so far, but decided to start with Milkshape and I really liked it.

The only problem is the texture part.
Here's what I do:
1. I export my models in *.obj format
2. Load them in UV Mapper (Edit->New UV Map...)
3. Save the model (*.obj) and texture
4. Import the *.obj and export it as *.X
5. Make it FPSC Ready

And some parts of the model are not textured (usually edges).
I tried a lot of combinations in UV Mapper but it didn't work.
The same thing happens even with a Basic Box object.
So my questions are:
What are the exact
1. Obj import/export options?
2. Texture export/options?
that will work in FPSC later.

Ok, hope to find someone who has experience in this.

If you need more specific details, please feel free to ask

Thanks in advance!

I agree.
Ms3d saves some time though.

I had some problems too, but it's really good and very powerful app.

Btw, any ideas about UV Mapper?

Or I have to use Ms3d for modeling and Blender for UV Mapping?

Milkshape can uv map. Just go to window:texture coordinate editor.

Ok, Thanks a lot!
I've just checked that and it looks promising. I'm going out for a while and will try it later. Hope it works fine.

I still would like to know about UV Mapper though

@ Deathead:

Not being able to import all .x files. I was trying to import a mesh from Model Pack 3, but nothing showed up at all.

Ah.. That. There is different types of Direct X formats. I can't import all .x files either.

That's messed. Is there a way to import it into Blender? I exported it as .obj out of Fragmotion, and then imported it into Blender, but it was rotated 90% in some random direction, and it was giving me trouble about rotating it back.

I'm not really going into detail, it takes forever to type because I jammed my finger at a Halo 3 party (er...don't ask).
