It's a good start. You have collision, a simple model, well done. Try searching for car physics, because cars don't turn on the spot.

i i am working on that i tried one car physics but whenn i came in a good car speed i didn`t colide with the cube on the matrix

ok i have now textured nmy matrix in diffrent textures on the same bmp file.
but i dont know ho to make my car move along the matrix good like real driving..
and i have tryed to code a car engine look at the loop

Move Object 1,Speed#
do
if Upkey()=1 Then inc Speed#,0.5
if Upkey()=1 and Speed#=>0 Then Dec Speed#,0.5
if DownKey()=1 Then Move Object 1,-4

ok....
Maby somthing is wrong in this spelling but in my project it is right. Because if Speed# is 0 or More Then Dec Speed#
but in the programm it dec the Speed# but if i Press the uppkey to Fast some times it start`s to Go BackWards like i pushed the down Key... how can i fix this...ps i have changed the car is a Ferrari F355 Spider...

Looks intresting. You can use GET GROUND HEIGHT(Matrix Number, X Position, Z Position) to tell the height of a point on a matrix. Not sure if that's what you were asking about...

yes somting like that but my object dosen`t move after matrix height plees (Virtual Nomad) Down load the project zip file there are 2 files to download 1 zip file that contanes a .exe file but u can down load the other one that contanes my basic start code look at the loop and try to find out how i can make it possible

Hi there! I'm going to give you some help with car physics.

Ok, first off, place these variables at the start of your code (before the "do" main loop command)


so, we have "spd#" to tell the car object how fast to move. "spd_max#" stops the car from accelerating to infinity and "spd_acc#" is how fast the car builds up speed.

So, with that done we must put this command just after the main loop (do).




"car" is the number of you car object so just change it to match. At this point, the object will not move because "spd#" is set to 0.



Now we start to control the car movement. Put this code within the main loop...


This will increase the speed and thus move the car object. This also makes sure the car doesn't go too fast.

To make it so the car slows downs when you aren't pressing the upkey, put this code underneath...



To reverse, put this in code in...




And, for a handbrake using the spacekey, use this code...




For steering, use this code. The variable "cy#" is the angle of your vehicle so make sure you have a command like this in your code "cy# = object angle y(car)".

Remember, "car" is the object number of your car object.







And here's a working example which you can manipulate to suit your needs. Hope this helps you.

A game is never too good to help (check Geisha House, Cash asked for modelling help there). Although I doubt this qualifies as too good to help, I'm a bit confused. Virtual Nomad posted a perfect piece of code to help you, and you didn't even thank him. You are missing the position object command in your loop, so while it returns the height, it does not position the car correctly.

Oh and, don't doublepost. Makes you look stupid unless you really have to tell something.
