ick i just installed update 1.07 and now it says i need the oct 2006 or higher direct x

WICH direct X is it saying

ok im un-installing 1.o7
but does 1.06 run on just direct X 9 ???

They will both run on the latest DirectX.

(Edit) All the latest Direct X installer downloads have DirectX 9 and DirectX 10 in them, They analize your machine while they are installing to see what version of windows your running and what kind of graphics card you have and install the right files according to that, So in your running XP it will install the latest X9 and if your running Vista it will install X10. I hope this helps
