Light effects.
I am refering to a specific effect where you have a dark room, possibley a gap in the ceiling and you can see a beam of light (in my case, the shape of a triangle) is there. The camera will not touch the triangle or pass through it so there is no problem about cliping the object.

Usually you create an object. texture or colour it white ghost it and place it at a nice angle.
The real question is how do you create a erm... dunno what its called.. Toblerone shape???!!! a 3d long triangle.

(very badly explained problem) i appologise, if can make sense of it and know a solution i'd be very gatefull [img][/img]

You could use a technique called light mapping. Use a program like CShop to create the lightmap, which is effectively a bitmap containing lighting info which is mapped onto the scene using SET LIGHT MAPPING ON.

I think you mean volumetric light... you can't make that kind of shape in DB (well you could, but not easily), use a modelling program
