Hi all,

I'm having some problems making enemies spawn - I followed Brian/Xplosys's tutorial in the Hints 'n' tips guide, and everything has worked out fine, except when you play the game, only the weapon spawns, and not the enemy.

So what you're left with, is a floating gun, shooting at you, and spewing out blood when you shoot it!

Clearly not right...

So why doesn't the enemy appear?

Heres the settings I have used for the enemy:

Name: ZombieSpawn1

Appear script: appear1.fpi
Main script: people\strafe.fpi
Destroy script: destroy\leavecorpse.fpi

Has weapon: scifi\vickers
Can take weapon: Yes
Shoot: people\shoot.fpi

Spawn at start: No (because he gets spawned by a trigger zone)
Max at any time: 0
Maximum spawn: 1
Number to spawn: 0

blah blah blah


That's about it. These are the settings for the trigger zone:

Name: Trigger Zone

Start: apear1.fpi
Main: plrinzoneactivateifused.fpi
Destory: diseaper.fpi
If used: ZombieSpawn1

I've had the same problem. I wanted to spawn a zombie (using xplosys method in the guide) and all I could see was the shadow on the floor!

i had a similar problem except instead of what happened to you my computer crashed instead,....lol.

i think it must be an as yet unfixed FPSC bug to do with the zombie model when it spawns.

You can tell i'm an old-school gamer, right?

Do you have shaders on? As this happens on my laptop when I have shaders turned on but it they're turned off it works fine... On the desktop PC it works perfectly with shaders
