Yes. Sorry I haven't posted any progress. The game is progressing, I just don't have any new screens that would show the difference visually. New sound effects have been added, the game-setup screen is now in, and you can now block attacks.

Ty.

Just to let everyone know, we decided that it's just impossible to finish by Christmas, so we're taking December off and will start back into it when the new year starts. It should take one month (two max) to finish it.

Bummer

Good luck with it. While you're "taking December off" I am SLAVING away for Matt Rock on MINet 2.0 and about 1000 other games!

Enjoy yourself

(I'm only kidding Matt) ...(sorta )

Haha, no rest for the weary too many hot titles this year. MISoft seems to own my soul (or at least my dev time ^_^)

Toaster gun for the win. What was firing the bullets over the top of the rolling pin? Was that an icing squeezy bag thing? I like the shaders too - don't care if they look slimey or anything. It adds to the character, imo. But I do second the menu looking a bit bad. The idea is great with the notes, pin and handwriting etc. but it seems to lack the polish of the rest. Specifically, the border of the pin board is ropey, and it'd be nice if the whole pinboard was on a wall, rather that surrounded by black. Otherwise, it all looks good.

Yep, it was an icing squeezy bag thing.

Thanks for the advice though. I've had other people telling me the same thing about the board too. Maybe it would be better if I used a font for the text instead of drawing it by hand with the mouse.

@Uncle Sam: Check blambot.com, they've got loads of nice fonts for free.

1001freefonts.com is cool too. Just check all the readmes that come with the fonts to make sure you can use them in your particular project.

Bah - I think it could be cleaned up but I like the concept!
EDIT-> (This message referring to comment that menu looked bad earlier in thread)

you NEED Crayon on Notebook Paper! (That crayon - never perfect... missspelled words, some letter's backwards... you know 1st grader like text!

Maybe at bottom, a teddy bear close up - holding the Crayon - as if to say to you - come on pick one

Great idea!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. This in no way means that it has died. I recently finished putting together the menu with the logo, so basically now it looks a lot more professional because when you open the game it opens a license agreement (like EA does), then the company logo, then loads the menu. Really gives it a professional edge.
