Ok I figured out how to add edge loops but How do you add one edge. For example you have a box and you want to add an edge from a vertex to and edge

Great! Is there a way to have the vert to be snapped to and edge when I select 1 vert and ctrl+left click? So it will be apart of the countor of the mesh? Or is there a way to add a vert on an edge so I can select 2 verts and press f to connect the verts with an edge.I hnow I will end up with a 5 sided faces but I like to anchor my verts manually. I know knife subd works but it anchors the verts down

salect the edge you want to cut and press k- midpoints or k-exact, then drag the line over the edge, click, hit enter. blender dus not support n-gons yet, so it will convert a 5 sided face into a quad and a tri. ctrl+left ads a free floting vert if there is no outher geomatry salected. it is not just limited to 1 vert, you can salect as meny as you want then do ctrl+left, its like a faster extrude tool.

you can constrain to acsess by pressing x,y or z after g,r,s and e

learn blender, you will never regret it.

Awesome! If Blender anchors a vert to two other verts I can delete one of those edges and select 3 - 4 verts and press f to form a face. Thanks for the tips! I will post to this thread in the future when I have more questions so keep and eye out.

I know I should start another thread but I going to put all my Blender questions here.

How do you export the UV map out of blender?

Edit:

Nevermind, In the Uv menu there is a script option and in there save uv layout
