Can you tell which model has more polygons in it? If you want you can post how many polygons each one has.

It's obviously the one on the left, 'cuz the one on the right looks like it has more, and you'llbe trying to trick us.

I agree with Insert Name Here. Even though the parrot mesh seems to be more dense, I shall vote for the girl. The 2D thing does not trick me.

Edit:
But, being serious, I guess that both of them have around twenty polygons. Using the billboards technique, things like this can be built with few polygons.

It is impossible to say. They are in front view. They can have from two to one billion of triangles, or they can be just images.

Edit:
hmm.. For the sake of the guessing game, I shall try. Both of them have ten polygons.

for sake of clearity. they are real models. I just chose this view because it was the best view to choose from. the other views revealed too much.

Hey it's the Samurai, how do you do my man?...I am talking to 'The Samurai' I once knew?

So anyway, what's the purpose of here guesses? You trying to reveal a technique you used? Of course it seems to me you've just used different textures and larger plains to make it look more dense.g

I love Nancy DrewG, but not insert brain here

Hey Seppuku what's up. Yeah this is the same "The Samurai" you once knew. Not revealing anything new, just seeing if people can tell the difference and how many polygons it may have. I am currently beginning a game development community that you can learn, teach, and play video games. Check it out. Well anyways. All I am using is alpha maps and a few old modeling tricks.

We obviously cant guess how many polygons are in a screenshot of a model. Thats like asking someone to guess how many sticks there are in a photo of a large pile of sticks.

Is there any real point to this?

No point, just showing and seeing if people can tell. If you must know here is the true count:
