FPSC Classic Product Chat / zombies spot me over longer ranges

I want to have my character defend an area, and have zombies walk towards the area the player is located, if I place zombies beyond a certain distance, the zombies just stand around, I don't want that, I want them to see me and come at me, in the tests the range of the zombies sight, is very short, id like them to see me better over a bigger range, or if not that, have them home in or walk towards a place, the player is in one spot, so they don't necessarily have to see the player, just come towards the hot spot the player is defending, what can I do?

the zombies are coming in all around the player, so way points will just have them walking around and around going from way point to way point, if they was comeing from a couple of places, fine, the zombies will follow waypoints like birds following a line of bread crumbs, but the zombies are coming from every direction, so I cant see that working? Unless you can put in different spawn points and say zombie A, follow this path, zombie from this spawn point, follow this waypoint and no others, perhaps that works?

Dont you have to change the view cone angle, dont use it so Im not really sure what it does?

Done that, view cone 360,

zombies can see for 4 segment spaces, so nothing at all really. I tried a homing script and they came up close from a distance, but when I tried it again, it didnt work, fpsc seems very hit and miss, mostly miss. Im losing a lot of patience with this engine, unbelivably limited.

When you open the AI scripts you will find plrwithindistance and plrcanbeseen commands (that might not be the exact spelling) but adjust those and see if that helps.
Leaving physics always active to yes might help as well.
