Im trying to find if anyone knows the answer to this question.Im using Maya(8.5) Im trying to find out how to export my works as a direct x file. I'd also like to open my maps from 3d world studio, and build meshes for my levels.

P4 3.2GHZ | 512MB ram | Geforce 5200 256MB | WinXP

The fact that Maya 8 does not have a .x exporter built in it does not impress me.

See if Maya can import any of the formats that 3DWS can export to.

I am just curious to know what 3DWS can do that Maya 8.5 can not. Is it just easier to use, or is there any special feature that does not let you make everything inside Maya?

Maybe you should ask this on a maya forum, not too many of us have $8000 to shell out on software when blender, milkshape, and wings are more easily acquired.
