I downloaded what i assumed was the Dark GDK from microsofts site:

http://www.microsoft.com/express/samples/gamecreators/default.aspx

And well, whenever i start it it goes to install visual web developer... I dont want this, why the fudge is it doing that?

One of the earlier versions of the MSI installer had been named incorrectly. Try downloading it again and this time it should display the correct information about Dark GDK.
