First of all, do NOT tell me that .bsp is obsolete and that I need to use .x or .dbo instead. I already know that .bsp is obsolete, I just personally prefer it over most others because of its ease.

Anyway, the problem is with lights. I will make a model in 3D World Studio with lights and export it as a .x into the .bsp converter. I then convert the .x world into a .bsp world. It converts fine and runs perfectly in my program. Only problem is that the lights that I use in 3D World Studio have no effect once I run it in my program.

Do lights simply not work in .bsp or is there something that I am doing wrong? I'm currently believing that it is something that I am doing wrong because classic DOOM used .bsp worlds and they have lights.

Ty in advance for any help.

hi, bsp compilers dont always contain the option for importing light options. Tempest within GMax does include lights, how ever you can use lights with dark basic to create lights. chech the help file.

hi, some compilers dont import lighting effects where as tempest within GMax does, not so sure with the one included with dark basic. how ever you can manually add lighting with dark basic, check the help files.
