can the particle system in dbpro create a lightsabre effect(like in jedi knight 2)?

if you make the particles intense enough and stand far back enough yes.

really though you would be better off creating an cylinder with another cylinder that has been ghosting useing dark ghosting .... Ghost object on {object number},1....... the flagis set to 1 to create dark ghosting.. also if you rotate the otside object and it has a nice texture on it it would look quite effective
