I try dbPrint, but it can't

Unless your variable is a char*, of course.

... or use dbPrint with a few casts or helper functions.

inline void dbPrint(const unsigned int v)   { dbPrint( (LONGLONG)v ); }

That should cover the majority of your needs for the basic types.
