Well they left Ragdolls out of the first upgrade so that the rating would stay low.

@ Dr Parsnips
Good for you man, hopefully you can make a level for everyone to try out.

YES! Please do. Just something simple, a room or something. I really want to see what frame rate I can get on my PC before I buy FPSCX10.

Wow, I'm actually disappointed. TGC didn't take advantage of the high-quality media that X10 can use.

Maybe you had very high expectations...
Personally it's how I thought it would be nothing more nothing less.
You gotta love it for what it is .
Well actually the only thing we saw were 2 enemies and rooms why don't you put some water or some effects like bloom or I don't know how they are called
It seems very nice... hope to get my copy soon.

I agree with Black Terror. Looking at Parsnips' screens, the old walls look nearly exactly the same. The bump-mapping is only vaguely visible. :/
Though, I assume the new media that comes with it is of much higher X10-quality. The zombie does look nice.

Also, TGC messed up because when people come to the forums see how great FPSC X10 is, the X9 media is going to make it look like an X9 engine. Not good. I hope that they release many model packs and quick!

The only other bad thing is that they don't have any human characters (besides scifi)!!

Just so you guys know, i did use bloom, but all of TGC's screens had it, i didnt want to use it for the sake of it, it was used on its default settings which was subtle. i didnt add water because i was putting this up for download and trying to keep the file size small.

Also i used light i just didnt chaneg the ambience

I don't think they can. I couldn't get them to in X9.

The download worked for me.
Nice, thanks.

Quote: "Just so you guys know, i did use bloom,"

That must be what made my 8500gt so sluggish.

For a cool view of Cool...

Kill both enemies then stand at the dark hallway's door facing into the hallway.
Then, hit your "." period key to turn up the ambience.
You get a cool view of the bump mapping at the end of the hallway, and the bloom effect when you turn back around.
Use the "," comma key to turn the ambience back down.

Yeah Dan,
My new computer came with this 8500gt but I bought an 8800gt for an upgrade.
I have not installed the 8800 yet, because I want to see how this 8500 acts first.
I know which one will be better of course. I was just wondering whether to use the 8500 in another computer or 'scrap' it.
After trying his demo with the 8500, I am thinking that I might as well install the 8800 and forget my planned tests with the 8500.
Sad part is, I won't even get to play with FPSC X10 for a week or so after I get it.
I am too busy trying to complete the project for my capstone. (it's due next week, and I'm not finished yet)
Plus, I have to do a 30 to 60 minute PowerPoint, and you know what it takes to make a thiry minute audio narration.
I know I'll end up sounding like Ben Stein.
Anyways, you guys have fun.
I'll be joining in the fun soon.

New noob thing for X10 - tons of enemies, tons of bloom, water everywhere, alien segment.

My guess.

The most recent screenies look weird, is that trench segment custom?
