Can anyone help me with sorting out this problem ive got with Ageias Particle System. The problem is that the particles have white boxes around them, I used the `Ghost Object On` command but it still doesnt work:

Tried that but it either appears as it is in the screenshot, doesnt appear at all or crashes.

It may be your fire image. Try this one and see.
It shouldn't crash - it works ok here.

So the question remains - what was it about the BAD fire picture? What format? Size/dimensions etc? That could save a lot of people head aches if we knew more!

I believe he did not use the png format it seems to work best when you are using ghosting or alphas in your project. Also i have found that if i resize an image in some applications i have to redraw the negative areas of what i want to disappear.

i got the old one from the DP demos and i didnt edit it or resize it.
