Hello, I am in the process of learning how to rig models for use in FPSC. I downloaded a model in .max format, and the zip included a different .max scene file for each animation... attacking, walking, running, etc..

So the character is rigged with some cool animations, but can anyone tell me how to get all the animation keyframes into one file? I have searched and tried experimenting for hours but the closest I came was watching bond1's tutorial on rigging where I tried exporting one of the animations as a .bip file, and then loading it on the biped of another file which worked but completely erased the keyframes that were present.

Thanks,
mAc

Export each animation as a seperate BIP file.
Now you need to use Motion mixer or Motion flow in character studio to combine them.
Checkout the 3dsmax help file on using these utilities.

Well that was easy! Thanks so very much

I went into each .max scene and saved a bip animation.. then I went to my original biped at rest .max file, and then I created clips on the motion flow graph.. then attached them by clicking define scripts in the motion flow rollout. Hope this comes in handy for others.
