You could chabge the theme in XP and Vista to the orginal 98, it looks so boring so I dont use it but some seems to like it.

Lol, I copy just a few files from fps Creator X10 to FPSC9 .
You can even use the character's,segments,entity's from X 10 to FPS creator 9 on XP

the poster function can be used in Fpsc 9
Just copy the poster map to entity user map

the characters are just models

not all the scripts of X10 will work on X9 though

You can use the characters, only their fpi script's work not always good on X9
I am testing it.
