Just find 2 other judges cause i don't have time for this.
The things that happened around here just pissed me off so I got enough of all this and I'm leaving the TGC forums.

Contact me at marked.oleg@gmail.com when the comp is over.

Best.

... I think that's slightly immature. I've heard whats been happening here recently and yes, although it's bad, it doesn't mean you should just let down all those who entered. They've worked hard to make their models for YOUR competition... I think you should show them some courtesy and review them like you said you would. Leave afterwards if you want, but I think you've been a bit unfair simply dumping this.

Well that's what i was talking about , people just want to get the free packs that were offered as the prizes. I tough it will be nice that people will have more freebies.
As i said , You can choose the judges , why it so important that i will be a judge.
I already started on judging this , but after all the crap going around here i just didn't wanted to be judge.
I feel sorry for people who really wanted to create a fun place of the comp or the forums..
As i said ANYONE can be a judge for this , so go ask people who didn't entered if they want to judge it.

Also I will offer my character pack to people who entered this comp.

So everybody win...

wtf ,i got 3 different jobs where I get payed like a dog.
Then I give my free time and my model pack for this and they always want more.
I don't have time for this because i got better things to do then judging. Why it's so freaking hard to let someone else judge ?

you may hate now but I'm leaving.

Then why did you even start this thread!?!

And FYI, you advertised prizes that people wanted to win. That's why they entered. If they did share your chain of thought

Quote: "I tough it will be nice that people will have more freebies."

Then you shouldn't have called this a competition... That's generally why people enter... To gain skill and compete to win something...

Ok sorry for that , won't happen again.

Can you please judge the models ? Then you just need to put the score together and we will have our winner ?

Quote: "Then why did you even start this thread!?!"

I am with Strelok...sometimes i even consider of leaving the TGC forums
cause i dont have that much time.
I dont know for you Butt Monkey (that sounds like i am calling you names )
But some of us have real jobs and some have jobs combined with school.
So that could cause for a lot of stress...
And the idea of restarting the model comp was a very great idea!
So i guess Strelok started this thread to have a good time...for those who entered.
It is even possible that when he started this thread that he didnt had that much of stress (work/school)
so it looked like something that could have been easily taken care of.
While when the end aproached his time got shorter...therefore judging the models would be harder cause of the short amount of time.

Its not like he saw this when he started the thread...
or that it is planned.

And actually:
Quote: "Then you shouldn't have called this a competition... That's generally why people enter... To gain skill and compete to win something..."

I see competitions for the fun...not for winning stuff..
not saying that winning is bad but if thats your only goal
than you miss the comp's function...with only the price in mind.
Its better to make some fun while "competing" against others...

Anyway...
I dont want to speak for anyone...so if i am wrong let me know!
Dont want to start a fight...but i know Strelok and he is a good friend!
And i know for sure that he didnt wanted this to happen.

I'm also with Strelok. People just want the prizes? THAT'S immature. I just entered cos' I thought it might be fun. Look at my model. It's crap. It's 5 times the size of the poly limit. Other people just entered cos they want prizes. Stupid.

I didnt even look at the prizes when I entered, I had just got Milkshape and I saw "Model Competition" and that was it...

Its pity that so many leaves the forum, and I dont even know why

If I had not entered this comp I could have judged.

Cheesecake

I agree with the whole work/stress thing. I am in the same boat as you described. If Sterlok had simple said that he was under alot of stress with work etc then that would have been absolutely fine. But he did. He said:

Quote: "The things that happened around here just pissed me off so I got enough of all this and I'm leaving the TGC forums.
"

I wasn't getting at him for having "3 jobs". It was that ^
And I agree, competitions are mainly to have fun and if you happen to get a prize for working hard then that's great! But you can't expect everyone to have that same view. Some people will enter for the prizes, but is that wrong in any way? Does that mean they've put less effort into their models than the people who did it for fun?

Anyway, I'll stop talking now. Sorry to intrude. I think the comp should finish on Cheese Cakes ratings.

If the comp finishes on cheese cakes ratings, well, the winner in his view deserves the grand prize. His piano was fantastic. Well done!

he's arnold, arnold, arnold rimmer, without him life would be much grimmer, he's handsom and trim and no-ones slimmer, he'll never need a zimmer...

Hold on! Maybe someone else wants to help judging....if not!
Than i guess its only my ratings.
But its better to wait for a few hours and see if someone wants to judge.

Sorry?!? Are you saying that you are leaving? didnt knew exactly what that line meant.

Quote: "But you can't expect everyone to have that same view. Some people will enter for the prizes, but is that wrong in any way?"

Of course its not wrong...i am just saying that you'll have a lot of more fun when you actually enjoy the comp itself.

I always read this thread.
But this is my first post except the entry post.

Actually I'm disappointed very slightly.
I thought that the modelpack of the prize help to reduce time to make my game.

But, It's OK.

just
If someone collect the entry models.
It'll be easy to find them.
and that may be the point of this comp.

Or...
Yes, let's wrap this up.

Sigh. If new comp start. I'll be happy.
(sorry for my bad English.)

Ok here is my judgment, it not very in deth but a judgment all the same! well do who ever won!

_________________________________
Encrypto Studios: Ammo Box.

Good idea! Nice texture!
poly way to big for that size of a model!
Text on the model was mirrored

______________________________________
Overall i give the model a 5 out of 10.
______________________________________

_________________________________
Bum Fat Cheeze: bintex.

Model is nice!
The texture could needed a bit more work.
______________________________________
Overall i give the model a 5 out of 10.
______________________________________

____________________________________
Henry Ham: Starfighter.

Model is very good! texture is also very nice!
Use of polycount is also good!
Even though the polycount is very low for this size of model.
It could have had some more details in the mesh itself!

______________________________________
Overall i give the model a 6 out of 10.
______________________________________

______________________________
CultBraiN: Piano.

Model was great! So is the texture and the polycount!
Concept is also very good!
Could not realy use 30 or so time in a room, unless it was a piano shop

______________________________________
Overall i give the model a 8 out of 10!
______________________________________

______________________________
0 Geoff 0: Stool.

Well the polycount was to big!
Texture needed some improvements!

________________________________________
Overall i give the model a 3 out of 10.
________________________________________

_____________________________
The Toasty: AK47.

Idea was good! And it will surely be handy in FPSC for filling up levels!
But! The polycount was bigger than the limit for this comp!

________________________________________
Overall i give the model a 4 out of 10.
________________________________________

_________________________________________
Big Viking Games: HelpBank.

Model idea is good! Texture needs more work!

________________________________________
Overall i give the model a 5 out of 10.
________________________________________

______________________________________
I want to Game:
Coffin.

Model design was good! Human that was in the coffin was a bit boxy
And the animation made it better!
Texture could have been better!

________________________________________
Overall i give the model a 7 out of 10!
________________________________________

______________
Inspire: Crate.

Model is good! Polycount also! Texture was very very nice!

______________________________________
Overall i give the model a 8 out of 10!
