Looking for skilled 3d people who use 3dsMax v7.x+ and/or Photoshop for use in building models from concepts. These will then be rigged, textured and animated (by yourself if desired) and imported into the game, Dawn of War.

Models usually range from standard units (3000-3500polys) to unique ones (5-7k polys). Bipeds will likely be done more often although vehicles and buildings will be needed as well.

We are mainly looking for Modellers/Unwrappers (any 3d app), Texturers (Photoshop or applicable paint program), and Riggers/Animators (3dsMax). As noted, we can only use 3dsMax for rigging/animating due to custom bone scripts required by the game we are developing for.

This is a massive opportunity and challenge to network with fellow 3d people while working on some *very cool* models and seeing them operating in a real-time environment. If you have a passion for the history and art that which is Warhammer 40,000 and looking for a part-time challenge to assist your skills into breaking into the gaming industry then what a perfect way to exhibit and extend your broading portfolio by offering your talent in the endeavour of an ambitious 3d project.

Samples of pre-existing work (from ALL War40k races, factions, and chapters) available upon request!

Contact: edwin.carter@gmail.com

Thanks everyone!

TuD.

Why is 3D chat starting to turn into the team request board again?

You are not allowed to team request here, unless you offer a significant amount of money or show great deal of progress with your work.

Although he did not promote the idea of being paid, it is almost a given. By the "email me" idea that he gave, it is probably a private negotiation between Consumer and Producer. I would assume that he is paying.

Don't judge a book by its cover.

Cheers,

Ah I remember you! You guys are still working on that project I see.

I think this is the Warhammer40k project I offered to help on once but found I didn't have to time to help - when joining this I saw some of the other 3d models (not stuff in gameplay as it was at an earlier stage) so I'm pretty sure it's authentic and judging from how long ago it was I'm sure they would have made progress by now.

Though Thudo, team requests in these forums follow the rule of them needing to demonstrate progress on the project that proves it to be promising - as once it was allowed that people posted team requests and it was anarchy.

Also, I'm pretty sure it's an unpaid job - or at least I was sure when I originally signed up. Though it seems to be potentially a good project for 40k modding (assuming it's a mod, I never stayed long enough to receive any real details) community and good 3D modelling experience.

I love Nancy DrewG, but not insert brain here
