Changing jump height
Is this possible in anyway. Id like the player to jump really high, much higher than the default, high enough to jump over an enemies head.

...I may be mistaken, but this is probably hardcoded into the engine.

Its a shame as id make a platformer type game if it wasnt, seeing as enemies slow the game down, id do without them and have jumping about instead.

Well now hold on!
This is an idea...
So you know how you can put multiple things in one place? (i.e. HurtZones, Lights, Entities, and such) You may be able to write a minor script change for the airlift, making it shoot you up a certain height, or something. Just an idea.

Good Games = Halo, Doom, Marathon, F.E.A.R., Blood, and Half Life 2!

Sorry to bump this,

A way you could do it is have a script that goes kinda like like:

scankeypressed=(space bar scan key code):plrmoveup=(how high you want)

It should be possible.

yes but there would be no animation for the jump. you would just sort of appear in the air.

I know but you could do little by little. (i.e. Instead of "plrmoveup=40" you could do "plrmoveup=1,plrmoveup=1 etc.)

I was pleasantly suprised to find that this is an adjustable setting in X10. It probably will be in the big X9 update Lee's talked about in the past (he said X9 and X10 will be sharing source codes, excluding the direct X 10 stuff of course, so most X10 features will eventually be in X9)

Vote today and play the games!

Yes it is.
here is a script for v1.09 that make the player have the abiiliity not to jump.
Just never set the jump range under 10, it makes it so the player cant move.

This is a very old thread, I don't believe the question is still valid.
