Dark GDK / error when debugging/compiling?

Ok this is an error with Dark gdk and with c++, whenever i try to compile (even when i just make a new Dark gdk game) and pres debug it says

Have you downloaded and installed the latest DirectX sdk?

Once downloaded you will need to setup the directories in vc++. This is definitaly the cause of your problem, without the DirectX SDK there is no 'd3dx9.h' or indeed any other DirectX headers & libraries.

I have attached the installation instructions that come with GDK. Follow this and all will be well.
