Hey all !

Alex and I have created a new small model pack for FPSC x10.It's a water texture pack.

The water texture pack is a collection of 7 normal map textures for FPS Creator x10.

The new 7 normal map textures will give you a new look to your water in your game!

The price is just 2.99euro !

Check it out at comrade 3D !

Here are some screenshots of few textures in game and a video of the river water effect.

The textures are easy to use , pleas read the Guild that is included with the pack.

Enjoy it!

YouTube !!

Some people told me that the don't see the difference between the look in game so I have made some screenshots. The water smoothness is on 100%.

Note : The pack will only work with X10 !

Rise and shine Fpsc x10...rise and shine.

Cheap! But why does almost everyone take the price like 2.99 instead of just 3 euro? It doesn't sound cheaper 'cause of that. But what do i know? Where i live, some people are just....Uuuh, they don't think of the price (No offence BVG! Yes that's right jag är också i svensk!). I just think it's rather annoying, everytime i see a price like this, i think about the store i use to buy my stuff....

Otherwise, very impressive! Great to see some new packs so soon for X10!

He didn't change the colour he changed the water model (if I am right)

It's not a texture, it's a normal map, if I'm correct.

A DUDV map is somethings different then a Normal map.

Here you can see The two maps together.

Notice the funny colors of yellow, red and green? This is called a dudv map. You can probably imagine why it is called that because it's actually the derivative of a normal map. In mathematics the notation for a derivative is du/dv. What this texture does is give us a way to calculate refraction and how the light will react and bend on the object. In our case, our object is the water.
But you won't find any DUDV maps in your pack.

And here you can see the default normal map and one that come with texture pack.

Some people told me that the don't see the difference between the look in game so I have made some screenshots. The water smoothness is on 100%.

I hope its all clear now and thanks for reading.

Np Inspire , the thing is that DUDV map isn't popular at all.

But Half-life 2 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. use it , and they have a realistic water effect. Although they use the same texture !

Its only a normalmap...you can do this yourself!

Just google for a water texture, then download the Normalmap and DUDVMapgenerator form the ati site, and Bingo!

No offense to you, strelok

You need to work with different layers to create a good normal map texture and you won't get the same result with just one water texture from Google
Also the texture need to be seamless and not just a photo.

But hey I'm not asking that much for it...

yeah. All in all, I think it was a little unfair for Wolf to put you down like that. These textures are really nice, and better than the default, that's for sure.

@ Wolf

What was the purpose of your post? Of course you can do things yourself. The point is, you don't have to. And just having the tools doesn't make it so. I'm sure many people here have spent many hours trying to create media, gotten frustrated, and wished they could just spend a few drachmas for media so that they could get on with game making.

Telling someone to Google isn't telling them "how" to do it. If you post a walk-through of the steps I think people would appreciate it.
