I haven't purchased 3D GameMaker yet, but want to. Will 3d Studio files work in the software? Also, what other file formats are compatible.

3D GameMaker supports .bmp image files and .x model files. I don't know about other formats, but these worked for me.

My advice to you: do not get the 3D Gamemaker. It's a very suckey, limited piece of software, has no updates, and you can't import your own levels.

I would suggest DarkBASIC Pro, or FPS Creator if you're not too code-savvy.
