sorry mate but the conversion isnt that easy...first of all I could convert it to .3DS with sketchup pro but thats not .x like you asked. Or I could use convseo to load the model into darkbasic and use a user made app to turn the model into a series of .dbo objects that automatically align themselves together. It is impossible as far as I know to convert from .skp to .X though.

But you can convert skp to .3ds, and then .3ds to .x. If you provide the .3ds, I can convert it to .x for him.

alright, I've attached the 3DS file. The number of polygons jumped liked crazy when i changed it to 3DS but it should still be okay.

Get WinRar to unzip it if you dont have it. It's free from Download.com (an unlimited trial version).

glad to see it worked, btw I'm just wondering, what program did you use Ruccus to convert it from .3ds to .x?

Probably conv3ds, it comes with the DirectX SDK.

I couldn't think of a signature, so I put this.

Deep Exploration by Right Hemisphere. It converts almost all file types, not only models but sounds, documents... anything. It also lets you view and render them, and on a basic level change them (texture, smooth, etc. ).

sketchup told upon export that there are 8000 triangles so that gives you an idea, although that's not the same as polycount I don't think.

DE says it has 2595 faces.

And you know what, I just checked and as a matter of fact, it can convert .skp files to .x and back. Didn't see it in the drop down list before.
