When I load DarkBASIC (Standard Version 1.2) on my computer there is nothing to the left (and vertical)of the "L" in File on the menu bar is missing. We've got a Compaq S6150UK (Athlon 2100xp) Windows XP (SP2) Radeon 9550 graphics card. Videoseven flatscreen.

Could someone please tell me how to fix it.

Cheers

Try lowering your resolution before running DB

I have a Radeon 9250 graphics card and I often get that same problem when running programs. So it may have something to do with the Radeon graphics cards. Mine goes away if I just change the resolution.

@Bloder
Try making sure your monitor is set up properly for 640x480 resolution for the various bit depths your graphics card supports(the default for the dark basic editor). There's usually buttons on the monitor itself to reposition the screen and shrink it in the x and y directions. The video adapter (graphics card) and the montior have to be set up to work together in the different modes. Usually the defaults work but sometimes you have to play around with the screen size. Once it's set, it should maintain the setting until the monitor or graphics card is changed.

Enjoy your day.

Run whatever you need so you can see the problem you describe above, then simply press the Auto Screen Adjust button on your monitor.
