Dark GDK / Lighting Problems

Im trying to make a color light appear on a cube. But when i make the light the object doesn't have nay color on it. Any ideass? thanks

You probably have to set the diffuse,emitive and etc. values for your object.

I write some thick code and when something doesn't work how I expect - of course I just want to find a quick fix - but often I can't and I need to get down to the COMMAND AT A TIME sort of testing.

This is frustrating... but if I were you I'd start a side project - just for testing little things like this:

Color the Light.
Make a Cube.
Make enough cam code to fly around, maybe rotate cube also

Got Color? ....

OK NOW test things like Emissive, Ambience etc... but only one at a time - (maybe add one at a time) until you "break it" and it shows all white again. This is sometimes the only way to get to the real problem.
