When will this pack be done? I am very interested. If you have extra time you should reduce the polys for FPSC X9 and put them in the Game Creators Store, I still would buy them if they outragously expensive (not going over 500 points I hope )

The v2 migration will be SWEET!
Our little FPSC is finally growing up.

Bump.
This is still being made, right? The models look great. Would go awesome with Model Pack 18. Just imagine all of them fighting each other at the same time.

I am with the other forum goers here on the topic, Jon. I think it would be best to release the model pack before a) you run out of time to do that or b) the pack just keeps getting delayed and never releases. I hope we see some cool developments soon.

I have had to spend alot of time learning character animation and rigging and animating new bipeds, but they're coming out nice.

next time, i should stick to something that doesn't need custom animations.

THE WEAPONS THEY ARE HOLDING ARE TEMPORARY, I NEEDED A QUICK MESH, THESE WILL BE SPRUCED UP

then again the time ive spent on this they should be spruced up already ive had a lot of distractions, hobbies and other random events creep in and delay things further.

anyways, with just some animation tweaking to do to mounted character biped, the first pack should be done by the end of this month.

To not delay things further, this one contains all the creatures, mounted variations of a select few of those creatures (found in first page list) and all of these creatures with texture variations, making about 10 characters in total (20 ish including texture variations)

Amazing Stuff! Just increase the orc's size, he seems kinda stumpy. Would be better if he matched the height of the player a bit more to give some more competition to the main player. And yes biping and animating takes soooo long just tweaking everyframe to make it look natural.
Do you think you could post some animation vids?

Are there any videos with these guys in them? Also when is it coming out because I have been planning a fantasy game and I could use more then just bond1's guys. Also do you have any prices for them yet?

I wonder if you could make a video of the making of some models/textures (using fast motion and non-commented if needed) so that we really know how you make those.

metal, like to think the metal part is crafted separately and slotted into a hollowed out stone

...

i dunno, i remember seeing something similar and liked it

image might be a bit small, now that i think about it, i should've rotated it in the viewport, then flipped the image 90 degrees clockwise...pfft.

If you search Halberd on Google you'll probably find some extremely simple looking weapons, i didn't really wanna just make a stick with a bit of metal on it, so went with my own little design so that it looks way cooler in fps view, cant see it from this angle but the blade splits around the base

Slingshot now (seems the simplest of the weapons are left now, but i'll be making them alot more interesting )

edit:

I noticed the little 'x' from the max viewport in the image, really cant be arsed to upload a new pic, nobody cares anyway

edit 2:

was looking through some pics on the net and i liked how some weapon designs are in bulk like a "rack" so decided to make this nice little group shot of the weapons so far

i wouldn't say thats the scale difference, was just throwing it together, will work out the kinks later on when i animate.

Very kul work. Textures are top-notch. Be cool to see that chain mace with some real in-game physics.

Here's an idea for you; since these are for a first person viewed game, you ever thought of creating 'battle damage' decals to be placed on the objects to show wear and tear? Or making some of the weapons sectioned off...maybe in the midst of battle, you hit a guy with your mace, and one of the spikes breaks off

idk, I'm weird

In the newest version of the Source engine, there is a feature called "Jigglebone". You just put that in the compile code, along with the name of the bone and a few other features. Then, compile the weapon, look at in-game and whatever was attatched to the bone flops around realistically based on whatever is happening around it! (i.e. moving, hitting etc).

Nah sorry.

But if you really wanted one i suppose it would be possible to blank out the rider texture in the alpha map..

Started the texture this afternoon, Very far from done, The grip will be spiced up, and in general alot more random details to make it look like more than an average slingshot (maybe a strap at the bottom, etc etc)

Yet at the same time, not too much, it is a slingshot after all, not The legendary weapon of Immense, pulsing badass-ologyâ„¢

I wanted to make this, because..well, i can only imagine the fun i would have with a slingshot in FPSC and some bottles with physics dunno if anyone else thinks alike..

I have a small question, those images of the things you make, are those renders or just taken from the Max viewport? And in the case that they're renders, do you use any specific rendering setup for getting them better looking?

Sweet slingshot, what are you going to use for hands?
Also, what is your scene setup when you bake your textures?
Could you post in my thread here?

These are screenshots from the max viewport (i put the line around them in photoshop so they're easier to see)

I don't bake the textures for the weapons, they are drawn in photoshop, just one diffuse map at full ambience (like fpsc)

If you mean the characters, then yeah, i'll post it in your thread shortly.

I don't fancy breaking continuity, so i will try to make mine fairly similar to either to those seen on bond1's fantasy weapons or EAI's gauntlets..

Will show what i have, some time soon, right now its just a mesh

Ok i lied.

I think its physically impossible to make a slingshot look unique.

But thats not the great thing about the weapon, its the simplicity, so here it is finished:

Just the bow and dagger left now, will start with the Bow.

I've seen quite a few Bows made already, so i guess i should stray away from the classic piece of wood with string... im thinking something Armour plated
