:::: PROBLEM SOLVED::::

Hello everyone. So far, I can not explain how happy I am with FPSC X10. It is one the most amazing game engines I have ever used. Although the stock media looks great, I decided to take the next step and create some of my own. This is where my question falls in.

Can someone please tell me where (and which) the files need to go in order to use my new character? The character is actually just a retexture of the FPSC stock character "thug". So far, the character can be seen in the custom character folder I have created in the entities folder of FPSC X10. When I put my character in the editor, it looks as if it has my new texture, but when I test the game, my new character is invisible! Any help would be highly appreciated.

EDIT: I found this thread: Here : but the information there is not helping me. I cannot find these "compatibility folders" that they are talking about.

Thanks for the help,
-Brian

Sorry for double posting, but I just wanted to show a few screenshots of my problem.

This first screenshot is my new character in the editor looking great.

This post talks about FPSX10 installing in 2 different places.

The first being the C:/program files/the game creators

The second being

C:/Docs and settings/users/documents/than to the FPSX10 folders...

I have re skined the character and put them in the game with no issues just skinning the DDS file of the characters. I have tried a few and they all worked fine so I can't produce your same issue.

I figured out the problem. My bin file was wrong in the FPSC X10 directory. Mods please lock/delete this thread if you wish.

FPS Creator X10 should not have the "compatibile folder" link, as it follows the Vista / XP folder rules. That is probably why you are not seeing it.

I do not create custom media so I cannot tell you where the files should go, only that there is no "compatibile folder" for FPS Creator X10 as it is all under the right directories.

I solved the problem. It seems that the problem was that an old bin file was messing with the texture location. If anyone wants to see the completed model click :Here: .
