I think that's right. The two FPSC games there are CRT & Outbreak.

I also made a commercial game....dont know if you know it.
Its called: Crysis.

Yeah it was pretty hard creating all the custom media...and make better scripts/AI for it...but i think it did the trick.

[was just joking]

Anyway Ertlov made one:
Anderson and the legacy of Cthulhu(or something like that.

It depends how you define commercial. I you define it by someone selling their game, then there have been lots of those, but if you mean games that have found publishers there are less but they still have.

sorry, every time i post it says something like " since you are a new member your post will NOT appear until we aprove it" its agravating because I AM NOT A NEW MEMBER! ( capps off) but that means that i cant edit after i post until its too late. i dont know how long this bug is going to last but i hope it dont last forever. For cryin out loud you're not new if you joined in October!!!!!!!

I wouldn't define self selling games as commercial games at all, for me you at least get a publisher to sell or sell it at stores a number of stores.

Anyone can put a game on a website and ask money for it, that's easy to do. The hard part about putting it on your own website is getting customers, that's a lot of effort and work and often isn't worth the time invested.

what doesn't kill me makes me stronger; but if something kills me, I'm not that strong am I?

That is so true, people are a bit naive and belive they can buy that new dx10 fpsc and just slap a game on their web site and they all come running in, WRONG.

the 4 principals of commercialism ( ) in order

1.investment: this can decide whether your product is a succes or failure. remeber: your investment should depend on what you plan to do with your investment

2.dedication:you have to be dedicated no matter what. if every game developer in the world stopped half way through the development of a game, the world would be without videogames, therefore without fpsc.

3.quality: no one wants to buy a crappy product. this kinda falls into dedication. but you must always make sure your product is exactly the best it can be to your ability ( unless you work for macintosh ) you may get a few people, but if someone doesnt like your product, theyll tell some people, then theyll tell other people, and so on

4.marketing and advertisement: in my opinion one of the most vital parts to succes next to the actual product. you can create this amazing thing that everyone will love, but if no one evr hears of it, how are you supposed to make money off of it?

remember these things, and you could make something really amazing.

what doesn't kill me makes me stronger; but if something kills me, I'm not that strong am I?
