I wanted to speed up My FPSC games a little with an upgrade from Nvidia 5700LE to Nvidia 7600, but there is no change in speed at all??? The only thing that happend was that the picture became a bit sharper. All other games I have tried is running mutch faster with the new card! I wonder if 512MB is to little for FPSC or do I need more memory? And will more memory speed up the framrate?

my pc specs are 2.0 Ghz Intel Celeron (the slowest processor in the world) ati radeon 9800GT with 128 mb and i've got 512 mb ram and i get 14-25 fps in my games, so the problem is in the program itself, like it has been mentioned earlier that the low fps problem is the main thing that has to be eliminated in the next versions

Alright fine.. I did order two 1Gb DDR2 Memorys last week but they didnt fit in My Dell 4600.. Nothing fits in a Dell, LOL!

If its correct what You say, then it means that alot of memory is more important for speed than Your graphicscard...
With a Level Of Detail system in FPSC the game wourld run mutch faster with less memory.. (Did write it up for feature creek)

Bingo. You have no idea how many issues I had with FPSC that were fixed simply by adding a gig of RAM.

Please have mercy and use the search function.

I still got lag on FPSC with 2 gigs of RAM and a 7600...kinda sad. Course, my 7600 was AGP, might have had something to do with it. But still, Battlefield 2142 ran so well....

2 gigs of Ram and an 8800, on the other hand, you'll probably never see a hint of lag.

"I still got lag on FPSC with 2 gigs of RAM and a 7600..."

That shourld be impossible, 7600 is a fast card! Do You spawn all Your enemys as "Unborn Enemys" and do they fade out after You killed them?

"my 7600 was AGP, might have had something to do with it."

No, AGP has enough bandwidth to handle 8800GTX...

Some of the issues with FPSC are indeed due to the engine itself.Given the wide and crazy variety of things that happen when you try to use FPSC on different computers nothing really surprises me anymore.
I have a crappy Intel 64 MB graphics card on my PC and there are some issues with that (such as it doesn't support shaders) but I have to tell you that adding that gig of RAM helped a lot.Not just with FPSC but all around on my computer.

Please have mercy and use the search function.
