It already does this. The faceted shading your seeing is because of too-conservative settings for the lightmapper.
Try this: change a static entity into a dynamic one and see if it doesn't look a whole lot better. That's because dynamic entities don't use the lightmapper. Or, better yet, go into your setup.ini file and change
lightmapquality to something higher than 10, I have mine set at 100, and it looks great. No more faceted shading. Just be sure you have a decent video card with plenty of memory because this does use more texture memory.
