Hmm, seems like it's a DirectX issue. Have you had this problem with any other games? Have you downloaded the compatible version of the DX SDK?

AMD 4800+ (2.5GHz dual core), 3GB RAM (667 MHz), 320GB HD (7200 RPM), EVGA 8800GT Superclocked, HP 22" Widescreen LCD, Vista Home Premium

Have you downloaded and installed DX 9.0c (run-time or whatever it's called, but not the SDK) in addition to DX10 already installed? Because the GDK isn't built for DX10. Sorry for asking stupid questions but sometimes the most annoying questions have the simplest answers.

I would bet on driver issue, try to install different driver for your video card. This shouldn't be a DX problem, DX9 is old and it's not likely there would be such a serious bug.

Try to pick up some driver from NVIDIA web. Drivers provided by notebook manufacturer are mostly old and crappy and you should download updated drivers from the original hardware vendors. Anyway, I suppose there could be troubles with getting one working with 7300Go and Vista, but give it a try at least.

Many Vendors haven't updated their drivers for Vista .... I know people who bought the best of the best - to find out the OEM drivers were only XP, or "Not Tested" ...which usually means - good luck .....
