It going to become a Battledroid once it is finished. Why?
Because I like Mechs and Battledroids, secondly because you can get away with squares in your model, so its easier to concentrate on getting to grips with modelling in general.

I know its far from perfect, but after having to start over from scratch three times due to errors on my side I am so thrilled I have finally produced this, that I just had to show you all!

Go easy on me, remember this is my very first model EVER!
I am quite proud, eventhough its far from finished.

Soooo, what do you think?

So I see you got GameSpace. The upperleg part seems a little big but thats just me, other then that it looks pretty nice.

Edit: I think this must be getting ignored because of the title It's a shame.

Not bad
Definitely better than my first models lol.

His foot looks so thin that it'd snap whenever he walked, but tis a style choice. I'd also say the same about his abdomen.

I'd love to see more progress!

Another note, it'd probably be better if you mirrored the model for your WIP shots so that everyone can get a better idea of what it looks like.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
Yes, a good idea to mirror it, but truth be told; everytime I tried to mirror it flipped to the other side, so I got the two arms welded together!
Once I figure out how to get that straight I'll post a new update.

Just select the face you want it to be mirrored on before you mirror it.

Or, just do it manually.

Select all the verticies/faces in the model, duplicate, and scale horizontally by a factor of -1.0, and then remove the doubled verticies (Presumably GameSpace has a tool that will remove overlapping verticies?).

That's what I used to do until Blender got the Mirror Modifier.

Na slow and unefficent way to do it. Gamespace's Mirror moddeler is very powerful, you dont have to do it at the end. it can mirror the other side in real time too. Very useful if you can't visuallize it yourself

Ah cool, that's what Blender has as well.

I've only played with Game Space a little, so not familiar with it's tools.

I know, with the corrupted, commercialized, imaginationless world we live in; tools that help people who's imaginations have been turned to mush, are very useful.
