I am trying to run my first program. I typed in the code for the Hello world program, but all I get when I start the program is the black main window and no image. I have attached the main.cpp file so you can see my code. Please help

Most likely the problem is that it isn't finding the "animatedsprite.png" file. You have to make sure that file is in the same folder as your main.cpp file or it won't be able to find it.

I'm guessing that the reason your previous post was locked was because this question has been asked many times before.
