This Hooverboard is steerable with the I J K L keys and only when you stand on the Hooverboard.
There is also a Army version with mounted Rockets that fires when you press the O key.

If you find any problems with this Vehicle, please tell me.

Please C&C and tell if you download, I want to know if people like this.

Regards, Joakim

[Update] Video of one of the Hoovers in use

No, Silent Depths arent working. Or it is FPSC that doesnt want to create working .exe files.

Have you downloaded the Hooverboard?

This Works Great and well done for getting a vechicle working in FPSC.
It would be better if the rockets fired horozontal and not at an angle because you can't use it to fire at enemies also it needs to go a little faster but that can be alltered in the script anyway so well done.

As I said in the ReadMe, change the speed to whatever you like 300 is a perfect speed.

BIG Viking Games,

Very cool! Many will get some serious use out of
this baby, to be sure.

I'll take a peek under the script-hood again, and see about tweaking it for vertical rise and fall commands. No proper hoverboard should be without 'em!

Thanks,

Seth Black

I have posted a link to the video in the first post.

And thank you everyone for the comments, I could make som more textures fro them if you don what that freaky texture. If thats the case, say what you want them to look like.

[Edit] Just saw:

Quote: "I'll take a peek under the script again, and see about tweaking it for vertical rise and fall commands. No proper hoverboard should be without 'em!"

Thank you Seth, if you find out a way then please send them to my mail and I will put them in the pack.

...here's an addition to the script, that allows the player to make the hoverboard rise and fall.

Very cool, Not a terribly hard to code thing after the release of the other vehicle script but its still very nice of you to give them out I think I will try adding some sounds to it and then maybe a new sci-fi glowing blue texture and "Plasma Rockets" (really fast moving rockets). Good job man, you could have easily sold these.

...can't be altered, as is. The angle of the shell is based on the positioning of the player, and the player's point of view.

Because the firespot on the hoverboard model is so low, the trajectory angle of the shell is steep, so the player can see it.

I've logged in a lot of hours playing with ally scripts, dealing with these issues.

@BIG Viking Games,

With your okay, I'll see if there's a way I can tweak your model, to fool FPSC into giving us the view we're hoping for.

...yep. Same problem I had. I'll see if I can solve the problem and repost here. I'm pulling the other attachment.

Why don't you make a car without doors and then make it so your character can enter and then use the IJKL to move it?

...got it. Had a typo. I've changed the rise and fall keys.

If using physics, be sure to set

PHYSICS FORCE DAMAGE = 0

otherwise the player will take damage when the board rises.

@BVG: I had the same issue with 1.07 going back to 1.03. If you have run the installer directly from winrar, you can fix it by simply extracting all files before installing the update, it worked great for me after that.

Hoppas det funkar.

So in theory, could Higgin's rails carts be modified to move backwards and forwards using this same method?

Luke314pi,

Greetings. Sure it could. When the original Remote Control script was completed, it allowed fluid movement forward, backward, and left & right turns.

Although not a vehicle per se, I took many rides atop the bots.

This Hoveboard variation has got some slight bugginess, in regards to collisions, but forward & backward seem to work fine.

Thanks,

Seth Black

Unless the game is built, the 'I' key will set your health to 9999.
