Either Wait for the .Net version of DarkGDK to come out - because its a little easier to get a gui going in a windows (not full screen) dilly... but otherwise - its long hand I think. I mean you can use windows controls etc, and there was a kit someone released on here - for Dark GDK - but it works in Windows Desktop mode only.... another option is the DirectX widgets... Personally, when I need a gui I'm just gonna write one long hand - using the game gfx stuff and whatever memory tricks I can in code to speed it up.
