I really want to learn db but my parents won't buy it for me and I have to save for myself, plus the games super pack (dbpro, 3d canvas, texture maker, cartography shop and darkmatter) is AUD$380.

If you have any tips on getting a quick bit of dough please reply to this post.

LOL

Buy DB and not the superpack. Download a free modeller like Wings 3D or Anim8or or Truespace 1.0. Take windows Paint LOL. Use a map editor like MagicWorld. Then you won't need DarkMatter.

LOL

Lets make free games!

Buy darkbasic pro for $99
Then download truespace 3.2 free. It's the full version, and it's royalty free.so the whole thing is completley free.It does world building, and can model any kind of object.Animation is included.

I didnt like Truespace, I would either go with Milkshape 3d, or if you can buy a copy of 3D Studio Max (which I dont think you can at this time,) get that.

Milkshape 3d is very easy to use, once you know all of the functions & commands, but it can be tedious to try & use at first.

Just buy DBPro for $99 + S&H, & Milkshape 3D (MS3D) for $20 (email shipping for free), & use those two things.

If you want to go the extra mile without having to use MSPaint for the textures & having better abilities for colors & tools, go out & buy Paint Shop Pro. I think I got my copy for $70, but just be glad its not as expensive as Photoshop (which is a few hundred USD ($695+.)

Game production is a very expensive investment, but its worth it when you get a commercial grade quality game out.

I hope this can help you out a bit, I will link now to Milkshape 3D...

I got my copy with free shipping and handling(it was from RGT though)
Now you've saved yourself 6.95 RPGuy .

Yea, If I were you I'd go with just dbpro, go ahead and try out truespace3.2, and if you don't like that go with the $20 milkshape.
Cause you really don't need texture maker with all the free textures out there(in face Esc, and his team have 90 some textures, I'll try to find them)

Yea, I think it's from amazon uk, but us in the U.S can't get that because amazon uk doesn't send to the U.S.A., probebly figure it's unnecessary since we have our own amazon.

I may be wrong though.

'twas me that said £50 from Amazon.

If you're wanting to learn why not start with DB Classic? Amazon again, including DarkMatter - £24.95 + P&P!

Thanks in advance.
All the Best,

No, Exeat. I always thought Ryu was the coolest. Who hasn't dreamed of discharging fireballs from one's palms, or doing dozens of helicopter-like spinning kicks in one hop.

In seriousness, however, mow lawns. Tis the season the grass grow. I get paid almost as much as my paperroute used to pay every month for mowing lawns. Of course, I didn't mention that I have alot of elderly folks on my block.

nay says the crowd

fireballs are nothing blanka couldnt do with a can of deodrant and a lighter.

but, curling up into a ball and sprouting electricity to fry people around you, now THAT is a cool party trick.

chicks love a guy who sparks

Yes, but that would be a one time-deal, and not as penetrating. Ryu's fireballs also have much further range than that little trick. I might add that it would be pretty hard to fight, especially hand-to-hand, with those objects in hand.
I'm not sure if the chicks will dig the green, . Then again, what do I know about women .
