I'd suggest that you never hit a motherboard. Anyway, after a quick google search, I found that the f.0 error code means 'button reset', so it's possible the reset switch isn't wired into the motherboard (ie, it fell out).

Either way it's a motherboard issue. And I'll stress again, never, ever hit delicate electrical components. That motherboard has tiny circuits at microscopic level. One scratch/knock can cause a small amount of damage to one of them. If one stops working - that's it. Every one is crucial. There is no redundancy.

*sighs* Only you, TJR, would manage to post a non-FPSC related question on a FPSC-related board and then have the idiocy to inform us that you hit your computer as a solution to what could have been a software problem. Avid's right--if even the slightest thing gets knocked loose on the motherboard, there goes your entire computer.

I'm telling you this for your own good--take your comp to a professional and have them look at it. A hundred bucks or so to fix a simple motherboard issue is going to be a better option than paying $500 for a Walmart-brand PC that may not even have half of what your current comp's got now because you were enough of an airhead to abuse your comp further.
