I love modelling gorillas .

Just some points:

- His girth is too man-like. Most gorilla's are a lot fatter, their chests hang out almost to the ground.

- It looks like you're making him fairly tall, keep in mind that gorillas have shorter legs than their arms, which is why they usually rest on their arms as they walk.

- I'd add a little fat to the back of the neck.

BUT its your model, still looks great so far either way. The texture could use some more furishness to it though. Then again its a WIP so I cant really judge anything.

hi again. I've made some progress on the model:

thanks for the comments from last time, sorry i didnt reply back, i guess i got sidetracked and the whole thing was put on hold.

I didn't explain before but he's meant to be a genetically altered gorilla, so he looks more human than usual. (it makes sense in the game)

The neck fat idea is actually really good though. i'll have to see how it looks

not sure about how i can realistically add fur to the whole body. i kind of like that he looks shaven. hard nut gorilla.

So. yeah, the updates are obvious. the biggest being that he has legs, and i made his face more gorillary.

i'd love to hear more comments on how i can improve it. he is a main character in the game so i really want to make him look awesome.

Aha! No wonder it looked so appealing!

How'd you rip a model from portal?

Yes, I have. I'm not done the game, though.

What was the big deal about the companion cube? It was only with you for one really annoying level before being destroyed, I don't see why people were so sad about it...

Venge, it is probably more about the fact that in most of the "hidden"(barely hidden but meh) there were writings of the companion cube everywere saying how much the people before had liked it, so I think that other people who played the game more or less thought that they would have to do the same, and the little thing GlaDOS(spelled right?) says at the end is just so funny lol.

Yea, I found those rooms with the writing. I didn't find the one about the companion cube until the second time through when I was in commentary mode, I saw something spin as I was looking around and found that little room.
