From personal experience, what do you all feel is the best polycount for weapons (depending on how well they will run in an fpsc game)?

2000-3000 I believe

Yes, 2000-3000 works fine, aslong as you keep the level well designed and have no over crowded area's. It's actually the same as with Enemie Characters.

really? That seems a bit high even for x10, I'm talking about x9. Anyways, my single shot rifle is about 1800. No hands.

As I said, it also depends on how your level is designed. And you can always add a normal map. 1800 is fine, 2150 can be done too.

I know one of the model pack 5 weapons (I believe) hit 3500 poly's.

...moderate to low polycount with great texturing will get the job done everytime.
