Hey! I'm a bit new to forums so I'm not sure if this is the right place to post... if it isn't please don't ban me... just let me know and i won't do so again ^^

OK here's my question...

I've searched around forums for quite a bit and found ways to edit .dds extensions of character models to edit the textures to give each character a more unique look. I've downloaded the photoshop extension to read .dds files.

My problem though, is that I wanted to have more female characters in my games so all I wanted is the AIKO character to have skirt, jeans etc. The thing is I have no idea where i can find these to replace with the present 'RESCUE' outfit she is wearing.

Any help on editing UV Maps or perhaps program or tutorials or even better, free model's of female chars (not scifi-ish) would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks and sorry for re-posting if this has been posted... maybe there was a 'word' defining my problem which i did not know of

UV Mapping does not alter the model, so by editing the texture you can't give Aiko different clothes. Just a different texture. Model Pack 4 has some civilains, and a female character. She can be adjusted to have a skirt.

Mp4 has a nurse character, and renzo has made a some female characters. the .dds file for aiko is located in the entity bank in scifi, characters.

Thanks for the response!

I was wondering if you could give me the link to renzo's female model pack coz if i search for 'renzo' nothing comes up.... thanks!

All i wanted was a few civilian female characters with shooting animation coz i'm trying to make a copy of the city I live in (Muscat, google it ) and i don't want all male characters...

|EDIT|
Also, the Aiko looks too futuristic so thats why i wanted to change her appearence to some thing more civilian like... maybe if I just wanted to change her appearence (no skirt or something as u're right... it'll require editing the model which i suck at) could i make her like wear a different shirt or something??

Also, a link to renzo's female char will also be good....

Thanks!

Texturing takes alot of effort and practice, you could follow/search a tutorial for it. I have no idea how to texture.

OK thanks.... and renzo... AMAZING MODELS!

but i believe the female characters are not meant to be equipped with guns

i was actually looking for a female character model that shoots at you... and i believe that renzo's female characters have not been animated to shoot...

Are there any female models out there with shooting animations??

or do I mess around with AIKO? (i'm still confused about changing her dress... sorry.... i'm really crap in modelling.... u should see my design and technology grades )

Thanks!

The first female he made has the default fpsc animations so it should work fine.

OK... thanks... do you know of any other free female model packs? That would be useful...

Also, I wish i knew how to change the color of the dress AIKO was wearing... a good UV Map editing program may come useful...
