alright I use blender and I know how much of a headache it can be so I post here what I know....

1. Select direct x export

2. click export sel

3. take your .x file to the entitybank in fpsc

4. now use the program called entity maker here is download
[href] http://files2.thegamecreators.com/fpscreator/fpsc_entity_maker.zip[/href]

5. put your image files in with your model

6. now you should have a finished model in fpsc

best of luck,
David

Hey, thanks RF

I have to questions though

1. How do you get textures out with blender?

2. Sometimes when I put a model in the game it is really small so how do you scale up the object? I was thinking maybe before you export from blender that you scale the object up not sure though I would appreciate it if you know how to.

I think I have found the answer: entity workshop! Before you put it in fpsc import it in .x format into entity workshop and scale it up and texture it! here is link
http://games.alyssar.nl/entityworkshop/

It is free too! I hope this helps blender users

or you can select the model and hi the "s" key and drag your mouse away from the model. That will scale it up for you. As far as your texture question, can you save a UVmap or is that the problem.

Cheers,
Dave

Reality, Blender saves the UV map to my experience. When I export I just choose the 'Direct X' option and save it somewhere, stick the UVmap image in the same directory as the model, and when I load it into Dark Basic it is textured. Sometimes I also have to load the image file and do Texture Object, but it works after that. I also choose 'pack data' in the File menu, but not sure if that actually does anything to make it work, haven't ever exported without it.

I know, I have been using Blender for a few years now. I was asking him a question to figure out his previous comment and not a question on my behalf.

Thanks anyways for the explanation I am sure someone who is clueless will find it very helpful!

Cheers,
Dave

import a wall from FPSC in to blender that should give you more than enough reference.
