I bought FPSC the other day on eBay, and when I looked at the 'from' adress I saw it had come form a certain C. J Bamber. Could this be Lee's mysterious brother Chris, or am I looking too far into this?

Well...

That's a thought. I think someone said that Chris Bamber was Lee's brother, though I could be wrong.

That could be Chris, Claude, Christine or any name that begins with a 'C'.

We know its not David or Dorthea though because it doesn't begin with a 'D'.

That could be anybody because there are a quite a few Bambers around you know, and everyone has access to eBay.

Yes, I 'm aware of the mysterious brother Chris too, but how does that show that the 'C' in C.J. Bamber stands for Chris?

There is nothing other to go on than the 'C', and Chris is one of very many names that begin with a 'C'.

Yes it might stand for Chris, but it's a long shot really.

I'd bet it would be Christine rather than Chris, and I have the same odds of being right as you do if all we are basing this suspicion on is the letter 'C'.

Have a look to see if the person has sold one copy of fpsc or lots, also does one have resell rights on fpsc.

It was on an eBay shop, and multiple copies were available.

I think you're missing the point. I'm not stating that Chris Bamber is selling FPSC on eBay, I'm saying that the possibility is there, and if I'm wrong, it's an interesting coincidence.

I can't believe you guys are really wondering who it is.

You don't think I am right about Christine ?!?

I'm not missing the point. I know what you are saying.
Yes, it is possible that TGC has extended their marketing by using eBay for extra distribution.
I doubt it would be very successful, since eBay is only a store front and not real advertising.
It surely couldn't hurt trying to sell on eBay though. After all, you made a purchase off eBay.
I don't find it surprising since a lot of companies use eBay for distribution and supplies.

It is mosty likely Chris. He is the only one other than RickV that I deal with when buying from TGC. Chris and RickV are extremely helpful. If you have an issue with TGC ... I would take it up with them before anyone else.

That is why I found zero results for "FPSC". I wasn't searching the eBay.co.uk version.

Dang dudes, you know that's Bamber style...look at the store name..."Bedroom Programmers Warehouse"

We all know Lee is a "bedroom programmer", remember.... they do exist!

Don't you guys remember Lee's sig, after all it is posted in every forum....
"Small, smart, and running around the legs of dinosaurs to find enough food to survive, bedroom programmers aren't extinct after all "

They need Rick or someone to do the regular eBay listing to complement to eBay.co.uk listing.
Alot of people are probably getting zero results when they search, just like I did.
I didn't even know eBay had seperate sites for different countries.
Yet, another lesson learned.

What I found strange was this in the product "Description" at the bottom of the listing.

Quote: "Item Specifics - Software
Type: Developer Tools Sub-Type: --
Product Name: FPS Creator Brand: --
Operating System: Windows 98, Windows XP
Licence Details: -- Number of Licences: --
Media Type: CD
"

I have a hard time believing that anyone from TGC would have put Windows 98 on there.

Best.

But if you look at his history, there is a Dolce and Gabbana RAZR sold for 65.

DBPro can be used with Win98, so why not FPSC?

What about this language in the "shop" newsletter signup box?

Voeg mijn winkel toe aan uw favorieten en ontvang mijn e-mailnieuwsbrieven over nieuwe objecten en speciale acties.

Since I barely know english and that is my native language I haven't a clue as to what this language is.

As opposed to Highlander.

Well, Dutch looks odd, so it could be.
{Edit}Got it, it is Dutch. It never translates as well as major languages, but it means "Add to favorites and receive emails about new products" or something like that.
