Hi all,

I'm having a 'small' problem here and i'm running out of solutions.
I'm searching a map/terrain editor because:

1. 3D world studio doesn't show textures, better said when I use the programs and I want to draw for example a box and i want to texture that box I cannot see the texture, very annoying.

2. Freeworld 3D also doesn't run since I have a mobile integrated intel card and freeworld does not support these, indeed very very annoying.

3. DeleD lite gives a strange error when loading (try to google the error but I can't find anything related to it), it then starts up but i can't see textures, indeed not annoying but fustrated.

So I hope you understand that I'm about to smash my laptop into a zillion pieces.
Now I don't know anymore programs that can make levels/maps and yes I have read the list at http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=112059&b=3 and as you can see all the other programs are for 3D models and I'm searching for a program that can make levels/maps.
So anyone who knows a program good/bad that can make levels/maps pls post it here.
or anyone who has any idea why all these 3 beautifull programs don't work on my laptop pls post to.
much thanks in advantage.

Hi dave,

What you mean with "what program do you load them in".
If you are pointing to 3DWS, than you probably miss understood me.
When drawing a cube or another object in 3DWS i cannot see the texture.
So it's nothing to do with DBP, it's just the fact that it's very annoying to make a level/map without seeing the textures.

I'll check it out blood of ... , thx for the tip.

3dws works fine.. You just dont know how to use it..

Eg. Textures needs to be power of 2.. And dbpro doesnt support .stf textures (What 3dws comes with..)

You just dont know how to use it.. WTF

OMG maybe if you would take the time to read the first post you would understand that when I draw a box(or another object) IN 3DWS I cannot see the texture APPLIED to that box.
I CAN see the texture on the right but I CANNOT see the texture in de 3D view IN 3DWS.
beside I wrote that i'm using the default textures that come with 3DWS and yes I know that DPB doesn't support .stf textures, I know where the search function is.

3DWS does show textures. I use it all the time. Make sure you have it in textured mode. The "textured" icon is at the at the top of the screen. You're probably in "solid" mode. If you select "textured + lighting" you have to render the lightmap before you will see the texture.

Spotaru, thx for your help but unfortunately I already tried that without any luck, the object stays grey in the 3D view of 3DWS (that's the upperleft square) when I try texture in one of three other squares it also becomes grey
