Does the dbSaveTerrain (char* filename, int id) work in Dark GDK or a way to get it to work?

everytime I call it I am getting a access violation in my program

I am generating a terrain from height map then need to save it

my original height map was 4096 x 2048 but kept getting errors 5 or 6 when trying to load it only way i could get it to load was by using dbTerrainSplit (1, 64); which made it load for long time then lagg alot....

so i split up the height map into 8 differ sections that are now 1024 x 1024 so i need to save them as object or something so i can import and position them or load them when i get close to end of the first map....

thx for any help...???

ok now I am able to load more than 1 terrain map but they don't line up right

when it generates a terrain like I am using a 512x512 it only shows the object as being 496 long with a scale of 1 even if i scale it to 515 the end of the map doesn't show up with texture or register as part of the wireframe or object/terrain but it acts like the terrain is still there because the height shows ....

so it seems to be cutting off the right side and top of the images it uses to generate maps with anyone know a way to get around this????

Hey, I had the same problem. It's a bit of an issue when a whole function doesn't actually work.

Basically to move through a work you need to be able to - save/load terrain objects, or at least delete old terrain and create new but dbDeleteOject () doesn't work on the terrain either.

Is there anyone who can help us? Pls pls ><

When you say you can load a terrain map do you mean the height map or from an actual terrain file? Did you find any way of loading new terrain objects over old ones?
