I was using the program fine on my desktop. But when I run it on my laptop with the same basic settings and add a light source, the whole screen gets screwed up. (see attached image) If I just use the ambient light and nothing else, it works fine. I have the full shaders turned off and lightmapping set to medium. Textures are set to medium as well. I have the most current Direct X and am running V.107 FPSC. What is causing this? Please help.

I can't upgrade this laptop. There has to be another way to fix this. I can't believe this program would be that limited.

Well, how old is the laptop?

If it's pretty old, then I wouldn't blame the software for it. Also, what exactly was the laptop made for? If it can't play FPSC then I don't think it was made for gaming.

You can't expect every computer to be able to run the same things. Some computers just aren't made for the same things as others.

My laptop runs FPSC and it's got an intergrated graphics card (20-30fps, full lightmapping and shaders) I've had no problems, but I'll be upgrading to a proper machine soon so...

I got my laptop about... 5 years ago, and I tried to run FPSC on it, but it was so horrendously slow that I quit trying, lol.

this laptop is only about a year old. So it should be fine to run FSPC. Someone else I used to know had a similar problem with his and he fixed it. But I can't get ahold of him anymore so I don't know what he did. IT's a dell Inspiron 1501 with an ATI Radeon Xpress 1150. If nothing else, I guess I'll just have to work with no lighting till I can fix the problem. Any other suggestions would be great.

There's been a few issues running FPSC on ATI cards, I recall a few people not being able to run FPSC. Check that you have DX9 installed. (Start > Run > 'dxdiag')

IT runs FPSC the problem seems to be that it can only handle so much before it just goes crazy hehe. Guess there's not much I can do about it since I can't upgrade this laptop.
