Not bad, they're pretty block but good for a low poly game.

Probably not, since .x files are model files and transparency is stored on a texture file Try .png maybe.

Modelled and rendered in Blender. Free software ftw.

i wish i could save as that but i can only save as .x or .cob, and .cob is not compatible with DB pro.

No a tea spoon he meant save the texture( which usually are .jpg, .png, or .tga are common texture types) as a .png. Hope this helps and nice shield. All the best, Beastegargoyle

no problem!

tryed getting that texture working but when i go into the uv mapper it says there is no texture, and i cant seem to extract the texture from the material editor.

oh whell, it still looks good it would look better with texture but i still cant texture for my life.

its also shiny!

PS: i still am taking requests so if you want a weapon made post it here.

You could try and make a sci fi crossbow or bow and arrow but I don't need it so its just a suggestion. All the best, Beastegargoyle

Looks good a tea spoon. Some crit/ suggestions though give it a different colored barrel other than gray. Also give it a special design handle. Try something similar to this attached crossbow. All the best, Jared

He is using GameSpace Light.

Its a very good modeler. Although, it dosn't beat Wings3D.

Edit:
You really should try Wings3D tea spoon I swithed to it from GS Light and it went pretty smoothly, plus Wings3D's UV Mapper I found to be alot better then GS Light's. BTW sorry to tell you but when I was using GM Light and tryed to use the models im my game they all looked really bad.

Data: thanks you, as DB programmer said, im using GS light

DB Programmer: never tried wings 3d before, but ill give it a shot. i have never actually used them in DBP. how do the models look bad, is it the polygons? or is it the way light reflects off them? i did make them really shiny, that might be it. if you can tell me what is wrong i can probably fix it

INH: tried blender, never could get used to the controls.

the thing i liked about GS is it's interface is so easy to understand, i have not taken 1 tutorial, i learned all of this by pressing random buttons. only recently i discovered the sweep and bevel tool, which i used to make these for you all!

try to make the edges of the model less sharp, a true 90 degree angle cannot exist in the real world. also it looks like there are some flipped normles in the crssbow.

blender isnt hard

salect with the RIGHT mouse button
press b to box salect
g = grab
r = rotate
s = scail
e = extrude
ctrl+r = loopcut, the single most usfal tool in blender
alt+left mouse, extrude selection or add vertex
press a to salect all, or unsalect current salection
pressing x-y-or z after g-r or s constrains to that acsiss.
tab = switch to edit mode

ok, put the models in dbp and yes, they look horrible. i did make them too shiny and since they are low poly, the light makes it so you can see every poly, so it looks crappy

ill fix this, although it looks even crapper because i did not set a screen size.

by the way what is GM light?

No, it wasn't the polys it was the lighting and I was having problems without any shinyness or anything.

That's the way I learned to use TrueSpace 3.2 which was basicly the same as GameSpace light so I pretty much already knew it.

this is what i have on GS lite when i load them, unrendered

mabey post a screeny so i can see what it looks like on your GS light

i also always set the lighting to white because that is the closest to what you get in DBP
