Hey guys I have a bit of a problem with Max... thats to say, I am lacking the proper cursor for moving verts, edges, etc (with the Red, Green and Blue arrows). I seem to get this cursor Which requires me to go to the edge/vert and drag from there.

The image here is an example. The first one is the cursor I want, the second one is what I have. If it helps. Im running a 30 day trial version of 3D Studio Max 2008

So yeah, if any of you Max whiz kids out there can help, it would be much appreciated.

Edit
Help... me... please

Well I know it sounds relly simple but its the only way I can get that cursor you don't want to come on. You just need to switch it from pick mode to move mode.

If it was illegal to be stupid we'd run out of room.

I do have that selected. I get the red lines whenever I select, move, scale or rotate verts, edges, poly's, etc.

P.S. Thanks for the reply, I was beginning to think no one cared lol.

Haha, technically so did I. And from doing a few tutorials, I might purchase one of the 3 year usage lisences. I mean sure, the veiwport rotation (Alt+MMB) can get a little erratic, but there's so much hidden fun lol.
